Swansea faces onto Swansea Bay, with the Mumbles and the Gower Peninsula close by, and wind and sea air reach many of its gardens. Hillside suburbs add slopes to the mix. We carry out tree felling in Swansea safely, removing trees whole where we have room and in sections where we do not.
Storm-damaged, leaning, diseased, dead or simply unwanted, tell us about the tree and its position and we will arrange a visit to see what is needed. Photographs help, and we will always come and look at the tree ourselves before agreeing the work.

Coastal weather is hard on trees. Constant wind pushes them into a lean, salt in the air can scorch the foliage, and a bad gale can split a limb or loosen the roots. In a Swansea garden a tree that has been moving in every storm for years can become a real worry, particularly if it stands near a house or a parked car.
We look at the way the trunk has grown, how much movement there is at the base, and whether there is dead wood in the crown. Then we decide between felling it whole and taking it down in sections. Where the tree is already unstable, we are particularly careful about how the load is released. We say plainly if the tree is better down.

In the hillside suburbs of Swansea, gardens step upwards and neighbouring houses sit close below. We climb and dismantle trees there, lowering each piece, so nothing drops into the garden below. Trees in parks such as Singleton Park belong to the council, so they are not ours to remove. Ownership matters, and we check it first. It is quick to do. Tell us if you are unsure.
For trees on your own property, we check whether a Tree Preservation Order or conservation area applies, and we speak to the council if permission is needed. We also work in Sketty, the Mumbles, Morriston, Clydach and Gowerton. Let us know the address and a few details, and we will take it from there. Mention any steep steps, narrow lanes or parking limits so we can plan the equipment and timber route.
We log the timber and remove the green waste, so your Swansea garden is left tidy. The stump can be cut low or ground out by arrangement, depending on whether you plan to replant, pave or just level the ground. If you want the logs for burning, tell us beforehand and we will stack them for you. Ask about the stump too.
A few jobs we have completed. We also work in and around Swansea.

Often you can fell a garden tree freely, but protected trees and larger amounts of timber need checks first, and this guide explains who to ask.

Taking a tree down should rarely be the first choice, but sometimes it is the only responsible one, and knowing which situation you are in saves worry.

Tree surgery is priced job by job rather than from a fixed list, so this guide explains what moves the cost up or down and how to get a firm figure.
Read the guide →Not always, but a new lean is worth checking quickly, especially if the ground has lifted at the base. We look at the roots, the trunk and the crown, and tell you plainly whether felling is the sensible option.
Yes. We dismantle it in sections and lower each piece on ropes, so nothing lands in the garden below. We also plan the route for the cut timber before the work begins, since slopes make that harder. It is courteous to tell neighbours in advance.
The council does. Trees on public land are not ours or yours to remove, so report concerns to the council. We only work on trees on private property where the owner has asked us. If you are unsure who owns a tree, ask us and we will help you find out.
Tell us what needs doing and where. We will come back to you, or call 07766 919630 if it is urgent.
