Wind and sea air do a lot of work on a Swansea garden. Salt, spray and sand settle on surfaces, rain keeps everything damp, and algae and moss take hold on patios, decking and drives. Our power washing service removes that build-up from patios, driveways, block paving, paths, steps, decking and walls, and helps your outdoor space look cared for again.
We start by checking the material and its condition, then adjust pressure and technique to suit. Plants, pots and door thresholds are covered, and the area is left tidy when we finish. We also cover Sketty, Mumbles, Morriston, Clydach and Gowerton, as well as hillside suburbs and homes closer to the bay.

Coastal weather is tough on outdoor materials. Salt in the air settles on paving, fences and timber, and strong winds drive rain into every crevice. Decking turns grey and slippery, painted walls streak and patios lose their colour. Because gardens near Swansea Bay take a lot of that weather, regular cleaning keeps the surfaces looking decent and safer underfoot. Little and often works well.
A wash removes the dirt, green growth and surface salts that attach themselves to the material. On decking it often brings back a lot of the natural timber colour, and on paving and concrete it reveals the original shade. We do not promise to turn weathered material into new, only to get it as clean as the surface allows. Honest expectations make for happier results.

Not every Swansea garden is windswept. Many hillside suburbs and parkside streets have sheltered plots with shade from trees and walls, and these stay damp and green. Singleton Park and the leafy roads nearby mean fallen leaves are common, and they stain paving as they rot. Before washing, we clear loose debris so it does not clog drains or get driven into the joints.
We then work through the garden in a sensible order, using stronger settings for concrete and block paving and gentler ones for timber and old stone. For block paving, re-sanding and sealing is available after cleaning. On steep or terraced plots we start at the top and rinse downhill. Plants, air bricks and doors are protected throughout the visit. We tidy up thoroughly afterwards.
Tell us where you are, what you would like cleaned and how big the area is. Let us know if the plot is exposed to wind or has tricky steps. We will suggest a sensible approach, agree the plan with you and complete the work carefully, so your Swansea decking, patio and drive are clean, bright and easy to keep that way.

Most South Wales patios need a proper clean about once a year, though shade, damp and nearby trees can mean more often or a little less.

There is no single perfect month for every tree, but winter suits many species, and this guide shows how timing, nesting birds and weather affect the choice.
Read the guide →A good wash lifts surface dirt, algae and a lot of the salt-laden film, and it usually refreshes the timber. Deep greying or weathering may remain. We use a gentle setting along the grain so the decking is not damaged.
There is no set interval. Exposed, damp or shaded patios may need cleaning every year or two, while sunnier ones last longer. When the surface turns slick or green, it is a good time to wash it again.
We clean garden walls, and we can talk about fences case by case, since some timber is too weathered for a pressure wash. We will check the condition first and use a gentle approach, or advise leaving it alone.
