Cardiff's leafy streets are lovely, but trees drop leaves and sap and cast shade over paving all year. We power wash patios, driveways, block paving, decking, paths, steps and walls in Cardiff, removing algae, moss and built-up grime to give you a cleaner, safer outdoor space without harming the surface beneath.
Large Victorian and Edwardian houses often have old tiled paths and generous front areas, while newer homes have block-paved drives. We also cover Llandaff, Whitchurch, Rhiwbina, St Mellons, Pontprennau and Penylan. Plants and doors are protected, and pressure is set to suit the material.

Mature street trees and big garden conifers give Cardiff much of its character, and they also shed needles, leaves and sticky residue that darken paving. Under heavy shade, surfaces never get the sunshine that would dry them out, so algae and moss take hold and the slabs take on a green, slippery coating. Wet leaves left sitting on paving make this much worse.
Older houses in the city often have encaustic tiles, worn flagstones or soft brick paths that do not tolerate harsh treatment. We look closely at what is there, and clean historic or delicate paving with lower pressure or a gentler method. In conservation areas, we simply restore the look of what already exists. Each surface is judged on its own. Fragile paving is never rushed.

Front drives and forecourts are the first thing people see, and in suburban Cardiff they often carry oil drips, tyre marks and leaf stains as well as algae. We wash them with a surface cleaner for an even result, then use a lance along edges, drains and borders. Cars need to be moved before we arrive. Leaves and mud wash out of the joints too.
Light oil marks usually lift well, though older stains may only fade, and we cannot promise a perfect finish. Before we start we cover plants and protect doors, and we keep water away from neighbours' property. When finished, we sweep and rinse so the drive is clear and ready to use straight away. You can walk the finished drive with us. Any problems are pointed out.
A few habits help a Cardiff garden stay cleaner for longer, such as sweeping leaves in autumn, trimming overhanging branches and keeping gutters clear. If you have block paving, topping up the sand in the joints keeps it firm. We can re-sand or seal after cleaning if you want that, and we are happy to explain what each option involves.
A few jobs we have completed. We also work in and around Cardiff.
Power WashingWe pressure washed the red block paving at the back of a brick house in Pontypool, then began applying a seal.

Most South Wales patios need a proper clean about once a year, though shade, damp and nearby trees can mean more often or a little less.

There is no single perfect month for every tree, but winter suits many species, and this guide shows how timing, nesting birds and weather affect the choice.

They can, especially in autumn and under conifers. Sweeping regularly and clearing wet leaves quickly slows staining. A wash every so often removes whatever builds up, and trimming overhanging branches can cut down on the mess. We can advise on a sensible routine.
We need access to an outside tap. Our equipment is self-contained, so we do not normally need your electricity. If there is no outside tap, please tell us in advance so that we can discuss what is possible.
Tell us what needs doing and where. We will come back to you, or call 07766 919630 if it is urgent.
