Tredegar's hillside terraces and sloping gardens give outdoor surfaces a hard time. Water runs downhill, shade lingers in the corners, and steps, yards and paths pick up a green coat of algae and moss that is slippery and dull. Our power washing service cleans patios, steps, paths, driveways, block paving, decking and walls, and gives them a fresh, even finish.
We take the time to look at each surface before we begin. That tells us what pressure to use, which plants and doors need covering and where the run-off should go. We also cover Ebbw Vale, Rhymney, Sirhowy and Georgetown, so if you are near Tredegar and want your yard or drive cleaned, just get in touch.

As autumn arrives, leaves fall on every path and step in a hillside town like Tredegar. If they are left to rot over winter, they leave brown stains and feed a thick layer of green growth. Frost then turns that wet film into a real hazard on steps. Washing before the colder months, or as soon as the weather allows after them, takes away that layer.
Clearing the debris comes first, including from drains and the gaps between slabs. Then we wash from the top down, so that loosened dirt moves away from finished sections. If the yard or steps are in shade for most of the day, the growth will probably be heavier, and we will spend more time on those parts to lift it properly. Slow, thorough work gives a better result.

Concrete yards, block paving and paving slabs are generally firm enough for a decent wash. Older stone, brick and render need more caution, because high pressure can pit the face or loosen the mortar. Our approach is to test a small, discreet patch first, check the result and adjust. It takes a few extra minutes and avoids needless damage to your Tredegar property.
After the wash, the paving may benefit from fresh joint sand and a sealer, which helps resist moss, weeds and stains. We offer that where it suits the surface, and we are happy to leave it out if you prefer. Decking is cleaned along the grain. Plants, pots, doors and air bricks are protected, and we clean up before leaving. Nothing gets left behind.
Let us know what you would like cleaned, the rough size of the area, and whether there are steps or slopes. Mention where the outside tap is and any awkward access. We will talk you through the job, agree a plan and then carry it out carefully, so your Tredegar yard, drive or patio is clean, safer and pleasant to look at again.

We work across South Wales. Pick your town to see how power washing works locally.

Most South Wales patios need a proper clean about once a year, though shade, damp and nearby trees can mean more often or a little less.

There is no single perfect month for every tree, but winter suits many species, and this guide shows how timing, nesting birds and weather affect the choice.

Often it can lighten or remove them, especially on concrete and paving. Deep stains on porous stone may fade rather than vanish. We will tell you what is realistic once we have seen the surface and tested a patch.
