Pontypool has a mix of housing, from older hillside terraces to newer homes on tidier plots, and the outdoor surfaces vary just as much. Some are original stone and brick, others are modern block paving or fresh concrete. Our power washing service adapts to both, cleaning patios, paths, steps, driveways, decking and walls of algae, moss and ground-in dirt.
Good cleaning starts with knowing the material in front of you. We check the surface, pick a suitable pressure, cover plants and doors, and work in a logical order. We also cover Griffithstown, Blaenavon, Trevethin and Cwmbran, so if you live around the edge of Pontypool we are happy to look at your garden.

Wooded slopes and the nearby edge of the Brecon Beacons give Pontypool plenty of greenery, and a lot of moisture to go with it. Gardens on the hillside see run-off from above, and shaded corners hardly ever dry. Steps and sloping paths are the places where moss gets going first, so these are usually the first areas people ask us to clean.
We work from the top of any slope downward, so that loosened grime does not wash back over clean ground, and we check drains and channels so water can leave. On a sloping site we also take care with footing and hose management. It all adds up to a safer, more controlled job and a surface that is easier to walk on afterwards.

Older terrace gardens in Pontypool might have worn stone, brick pavers or old concrete that has been patched over the years. Newer homes tend to have block paving, paving slabs and decking. These materials respond differently, so we do not use a single setting. Old and soft surfaces get a lower pressure and a closer eye, while modern block paving and concrete can take a firmer wash.
For block paving, we can re-sand the joints after cleaning and seal the surface if you want extra protection. Decking is cleaned along the grain to avoid raising the timber. We always protect nearby plants, pots, air bricks and doorways, and if something looks too delicate to wash safely, we tell you straight rather than take a chance with it. Honest advice comes first.
A short description of your garden, plus a photo or two, is usually enough to start with. Tell us how steep the plot is, what the surfaces are made from and where the outside tap is. We will agree what to clean and how, carry the work out carefully, and leave your Pontypool home with clean, safer surfaces and a tidy finish.

Most South Wales patios need a proper clean about once a year, though shade, damp and nearby trees can mean more often or a little less.

There is no single perfect month for every tree, but winter suits many species, and this guide shows how timing, nesting birds and weather affect the choice.

There is. Older stone and brick can be soft and the mortar crumbly, so we use lower pressure and test first. Newer block paving and concrete are tougher but need care to avoid washing the joint sand out.
Yes, they can be done in the same visit. Decking is washed along the grain with a gentler setting, and the patio gets a method suited to its material. We will keep the two separate so that debris from one does not mark the other.
