This Pontypool job cleaned the herringbone block paving beside the back door of a brick house. The first photo shows the pressure washer lance in use on wet, dirty paving. The second shows the cleaned bricks, the border of dark edging, and a seal being rolled on from a tray.

In the first photo, one of us is using a long pressure washer lance on the herringbone paving. The surface is soaked, with dirty water standing in places and the white door and frame splashed with grime. A blue hose runs across the ground. Cleaning like this lifts algae, moss and ground-in dirt out of the joints and the brick faces. Plants nearby should be kept clear of the spray, and doors and windows are worth keeping an eye on.
In the second photo the paving looks clean and the red-brown bricks are clearer, with a darker border of block edging and a curved step at the door. A person is working a long-handled roller in a paint tray, and a tin labelled as paving seal sits on the ground. Sealing is optional but common once the paving is fully dry. It can help hold the colour and slow weeds and algae returning, though it does not stop dirt for good.
