These three photos follow a tree felling job in Caerphilly. The first shows cut timber and branches lying in a narrow back lane with a woodchipper behind. The second shows two large stumps and a chainsaw. The third shows the cleared plot looking over rows of terraced houses towards the hillside.

In the first photo, the trunk and branches have been cut into lengths and lie on the tarmac, with a chainsaw resting on the pile. An orange woodchipper stands at the end of the lane, backed up to the work with chipped material visible in its hopper. Stone walls run along both sides, so access is tight. Cutting wood into smaller lengths here makes it easier to handle, and feeding the thinner branches through the chipper cuts the amount of waste to take away.
The second photo shows two stumps of large trees, cut off roughly level, with sawdust around them and an orange chainsaw beside. One stump has darker, decayed wood in its centre, which is common in older trees. Stumps can be left cut low or ground out by arrangement. In the third photo the plot is open, with some broken fencing, toys and low growth left on the ground, and Caerphilly terraces and a wooded hill behind.
