This Swansea job began in a back garden with a greenhouse, a rotary line and tall trees rising beyond the fence. The photos show the garden before the cutting starts and our chipper and tipper truck parked on the green in the road outside, ready to deal with whatever came down.

The first photo shows a neat lawn with a greenhouse, runner beans and a washing line, and a ladder laid on the grass. Behind the fence, several tall trees stand close together, with a large oak-type crown leaning over the line. In a garden like this, felling usually means working in sections, because there is little room to drop a tree whole without hitting the greenhouse or fence.
The second photo shows the street side. The chipper sits on a trailer behind the tipper truck, parked at the edge of a small green beside terraced houses and parked cars. Branches are normally fed through the chipper close to the work and the wood loaded onto the truck, which keeps the road clear. Before any felling we check whether a tree has a protection order or sits in a conservation area, because the council must be told first.
