Chepstow sits on the Wye with wooded ground rising on both sides, and gardens here often fight a constant battle with ivy, bramble and self-seeded trees. We clear overgrown plots, remove tired sheds and fencing, and carry the waste away, giving you a garden you can walk around and use again.
We work for homeowners, landlords and sellers, in period houses and newer properties alike. If you are not sure how bad your garden really is, give us the details and we will explain how we would go about clearing it.

The edge of the Wye Valley is lovely, but it is hard on gardens. Woodland seeds blow in, ash and sycamore seedlings sprout in every border, and ivy climbs anything standing still. On sloping Chepstow plots, we clear from the top down, cut growth right back and dig out whatever we sensibly can so that the garden is properly open and light can get to the ground again, which helps any lawn or planting you want later.
Steepness also makes carrying difficult, so we plan routes before we begin. Waste goes out in manageable loads, steps and paths are kept clear for safe footing, and we tell you if any bank, wall or terrace looks insecure. It is far better to know about that now than after a new patio has gone down on top of it, and we would rather say so than quietly work around it.

Many older houses in Chepstow have gardens full of mature planting, from big shrubs and laurels to long-neglected climbers on walls. The weight of all this growth can pull at fences and brickwork. We cut it back carefully in Chepstow gardens, avoiding damage to boundaries, and remove the debris so that walls, gutters and fence posts can be checked and repaired if necessary once they are visible again.
Mature trees are part of what makes these gardens special, so we leave sound ones alone and clear the weeds, saplings and rubbish around their bases. If a tree is dead, leaning or simply too large for its space, that is a decision for you, and we can discuss pruning or felling as a separate job once the surrounding clearance is done.
A clear garden makes a real difference whether you are selling in Chepstow, letting a property or starting a new project. We take the rubbish, green waste and old structures with us, so you are not left to deal with a skip. We also cover Tutshill, Mathern, Caerwent and Shirenewton, so let us know if your garden is outside the town.

The cost of garden clearance depends on how much there is to remove, how easily it can be reached and what has to be taken away.

A gravel garden can cut mowing and weeding, but only if the ground is cleared and prepared properly first, and the planning matters more than the stones.

Tree surgery is priced job by job rather than from a fixed list, so this guide explains what moves the cost up or down and how to get a firm figure.
Read the guide →Yes. We carry waste by hand in manageable loads and keep paths and steps clear as we go. It takes careful planning, and if parts of the garden are unsafe we will tell you before we start working near them.
We can cut ivy back and strip what is loose. Pulling it fully off old brick or stone can cause damage, so we usually cut the stems at the base and let the remainder die back, and we will discuss the right approach for your wall.
Yes. Rotten sheds, broken panels and posts, and leftover timber are taken down and removed along with the green waste. Tell us what is there and roughly how big it is when you contact us, so we can plan the work, and the loading, around it.
